Can you keep your crystal in your candle while burning?

We recommend taking your crystal out of your candle during your first burn. This will prevent uneven burning, and your jar shattering.

Why is the first burn so important?

Candles create a memory during their first burn. To create this memory the top of the candle must be evenly burned. This can take 2-3 hours depending on the size of the candle,

The candle wick is mushrooming?

Always trim your wick 5mm before each burn and do not burn for longer than 4 hours. If the wick starts to mushroom, put out the candle and allow the wax to cool, trim the wick and remove any excess and relight.

What is the best way to light my candle?

The safest way to light your candle is with a long barrel gas lighter.

The wax is drowning the wick?

This can be caused by not having your candle burnt enough in your first burn. It is important to have the candle burn until the wax hit the edges of the glass everytime it is lit. This will ensure a maximum burn.

Why is there black residue around the rim and on the jar?

Before lighting your candle and in between usinging, ensure the wick is no longer than 5mm. Untrimmed wicks will call smoke and can darken the inside and outside of your jar. If there is black residue its okay, its non toxic – wipe residue off with a damp towel and wipe clean.
